Kandy is a proud Army veteran, wife, mother of two, and paralegal with a lifelong fascination for the stories that live in the shadows. Drawn not to the famous names of true crime, but to the cases that never made the headlines, she created Truth in the Shadows to bring attention to forgotten victims, unsolved mysteries, and the political forces that shape our world.
Her passion for storytelling began in childhood after reading The Lovely Bones and A Child Called “It,” sparking a deep interest in justice, survival, and truth. Today, she blends research, lived experience, and a careful eye for detail to explore crime, mystery, and politics through a thoughtful and human lens.
Through each episode and article, Kandy invites listeners to look beyond what’s visible — because sometimes, the truth hides in plain sight.
